Our project for 2011 is the Vladivostock Eco/Aid-Expedition 2011.

Our current thinking is we'll use Bio-diesel produced en route from donated used cooking oil, only this time, we'll probably purchase a large minibus to enable us to carry more volunteers to assist at the orphanages we visit en route.

We'll also be taken donated caravans to be used by orphanages as temporary housing and to take the children on holidays they don't normally get.

If you want to join the crew or come along in your own vehicle (preferably towing a donated caravan), at your own expense, contact me in the usual way.

As we'll be dealing with registered childrens charities in the countries we visit, fundraising will be easier on a charity basis.

We want to raise as much as possible, so we can buy locally exactly what the orphanages need.

Route will be through France, Belgium, Netherlands, Poland, Germany, Luthuania, Latvia and Estonia into Russia. After stopovers in St Petersburg and Moscow, we'll head east across the Urals towards Lake Baikal and on to Vladivostock... and back!
