SNOW LEOPARD EXPEDITION 2013
For our Eco-Expedition in 2013, we are taking a diesel 4×4 to Kazakhstan via Russia and back. It is hoped to run it as much as we can on rapeseed/cooking oil collected on the way.
The route will probably be through France, Belgium, Germany, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia into Russia – visiting St Petersburg and Moscow – then heading over the Urals into Asia, through Siberia then turning south into Kazakhstan.
We will be involved with a conservation charity – Foundation for Endangered Species (www.ffes.org.uk) and will be visiting ecocentres and meeting fellow ecologists/conservationists to exchange ideas, etc…, in addition to researching endangered species.
If you wish to join us, there will be up to four seats available and there will be no charge – you’ll just have to raise a few hundred ££££ for the charity, which can be undertaken by sponsorship.
You can also just us in your own 4×4 – There again, no charge, but you will be expected to fundraise ££££s for the charity. There will be a maximum of six vehicles in our convoy and three places are already booked.
