As there has been some interest in being involved in 4×4 Humanitarian Aid trips, I propose to undertake another to a Romanian orphanage in Spring 2012. It will be similar to our Aidventure trip to Romania in 1997 , but without the hassle or visas/border crossings/etc/etc…

Kazakhstan Eco-Aidventure 2012/3
As there has not been a great deal of interest, we may delay this event until 2013. However, I’ll leave these details up and see what happens…
For our Eco-Expedition in 2012 or 2013, we are taking a diesel 4×4 to Kazakhstan via Russia and back. It is hoped to run it as much as we can on rapeseed/cooking oil collected on the way.
The route will probably be through France, Belgium, Germany, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia into Russia – visiting St Petersburg and Moscow – then heading over the Urals into Asia, through Siberia then turning south into Kazakhstan.
We will be involved with a conservation charity – Foundation for Endangered Species (www.ffes.org.uk) and will be visiting ecocentres and meeting fellow ecologists/conservationists to exchange ideas, etc…, in addition to researching endangered species… such as tigers, wolves, etc.
It is also envisaged that we will visit selected orphanges en route to deliver aid and assist in any way we can.
If you wish to join us, there will be up to four seats available and there will be no charge – you’ll just have to raise a few hundred ££££ for the charity, which can be undertaken by sponsorship.
Although, we don’t want to have a large convoy, we have a few spaces for you to join us in your own 4×4 – There again, no charge, but you will be expected to fundraise ££££s for the charity.
If you wish to discuss anything, please email me or ring on 07855 462 591. Don’t leave a message, as that facility doesn’t work. If there is no answer, just txt ‘Expedition’ and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.
